The ABkC has been flagging up the need for the PLG Entrants licence for some time now in its newsletters, since it was approved last year after the consultation period, for a start in 2012 even although it is already in the Blue Book. The ABkC lobbied to keep the price down as much as possible (it was originally going to be much more). Remember if Mum sometimes takes the under 18's to the track, and sometimes it is Dad, I would guess both need a licence. This is all designed so the penalties can be applied if necessary to adults and not kids and to ensure adults sign to confirm they have read and understood the regulations. Alternatively of course a team entrants licence can be used.
