"All it does, it just dilutes entries in every class. There needs to be some common sense and scrap some of these classes" - Ricky Flynn.

"So we are hopeful that this year we’ll see bigger grids, but for the future we are very much in doubt, for the cost of doing KF at national level" - Graham S

"And this has been definitely part of the reason, besides the high cost factor" - Graham S

I'm not talking about the ones who haven't started, I'm talking about the ones who are / were already in the sport. Look at what happened when Formula Blue came out, TKM lost numbers to Formula Blue, I bet when Rotax came out TKM lost numbers to Rotax (bit before my time) and then you have people at the top of the sport making the same comments. I don't think it affects people coming into the sport but it must confuse the hell out of them with all these classes.

There should be one class for cadets, 2 for juniors and 2 for seniors. The emphasis needs to be on basic, economical, cloe competitive racing. It needs to be set up so there is a clear path to the top so everybody recognises which class is the pinnacle of our sport...TKM ; )

When you look at football there is a clear structure from the grass roots all the way to the top. I think that karting in the uk needs a simple clear structure and maybe a marketing push at the top level (prize money, televised, F1 connection.)

I think we need to go back to a one size fits all approach and keep everyone together rather than have it fragmented like it is now.

The MSA have created one big mess and it is going to have to take some unliked and unwanted decisions to sort it all out. I think if it's legal we need to scrap a lot of the classes. Maybe the MSA could compensate those affected by the changes.

Chris.
