Chassis' crack BECAUSE they are electrically mig/tig welded.....the heat of the weld is too hot and destroys the original mechanical properties of the tube in the local weld area. Oxy/acetylene bronze welding is how ALL chassis used to be welded, a situation that only changed due to the speed and cheapness of electric welding.
