It sounds as if the S1 officials made a great effort to keep the meeting going in pretty awful conditions.
If anyone felt strongly about the way the rules were implemented they could have lodged a protest. From the results it looks as if drivers from the big teams (and with decent budgets) were affected just as much by the conditions as anyone else so I doubt if the protest fee would have been a major issue.
The suggestion of allowing an extra round to be treated as a drop score would be difficult to get through as it would need the MSA to agree to a change to the rules and probably the agreement of all entrants.
