For your older lad, Whilton Mill on a Wednesday is great - especially if you can manage a day during term-time as it is not so busy. Good chance to get to grips with the junior karts/engines.
Llandow is also great but you just need to check they do not have a big corporate booking. You can get in 200+ laps on most days there.
