The squish that you're aiming for is 28thou (0.7mm),so around 1mm is about right. The port timing is more complex and costly involving a o -50mm dial gauge and an adaptor to fit it in the spark plug hole, plus a feeler gauge. The dimensions are in the tkm handbook.
