If it was me I would have slowed down, not speed up.

I learnt this when I was 19 on my way to Cornwall. I was in the outside lane going about 80mph, I had a lunatic on my rear bumper so I speeded up as there was no room in the middle lane. The motorway was jam packed full of holiday makers. Anyway this lunatic was glued to my rear bumper and there were no gaps so I just kept speeding up, to cut a long story short the engine hit its limit at 110mph and the lunatic was still glued on my rear bumper flashing its lights. Because of the excessive speed I needed a larger gap to pull into the middle lane but the motorway was too packed for a large enough gap. So I had to slow down to about 90mph and then a gap appeared, I pulled in, driver pulls alongside and starts shouting abuse and then speeds off.

On reflection I realised that if I had just slowed down slightly to begin with instead of speeding up and left my indicator on then eventually someone would have let me into the middle lane and the lunatic can go off and have a crash with someone else. Speeding up put others lives at risk and my life at risk all for the sake of some moron who is on a death trip.

To answer your original question, I have seen really bad driving when I was coming back from GYG. Overtaking on blind bends etc but I don't know if it was anyone from the kart meeting.

I would think if there is bad driving from the karting community then it's from the dads and friends who are not racing. I say this because after a days hard work spannering and racing the last thing I want to do is race home, I am too knackered and I would think that most of the other racers are the same as me. I struggle to keep my eyes open in the pub afterwards : )
