We have run both zip and P1 at the front in Honda and they are both as easy as each other to set up. We used to think the P1 was better in the wet but as anyone knows who has raced us recently in the wet the zip is better now. And there is no need to change the std axle.
Spares are about the same if you shop around. And you will see alot of 2nd hand spares for zip.
As for flattening on the chassis this will happen on any kart if it has been driven properly at certain tracks in the wet.
