A non-msa meeting may follow the msa approved regulations for a class but not all of the blue book regulations.
They could have a rule that the decision of the CoC is final with no right of appeal whereas with msa racing you can appeal first to the stewards and then to the national court.
With non-msa racing you do not need a licence or parent licence so there are some cost savings albeit not massive when taken as part of the overall cost of karting.
Quite a few kart clubs do not own the tracks but rent them from the owners for the msa monthly meeting. Warden Law is a great track but the club could not generate enough entries to maintain viability. With non-msa racing run closely to msa standards.regs it seems to be doing much better.
If I lived close to WL then I would probably do non-msa rather than drive for an hours each way to a msa meeting. As all our local tracks run msa I see no reason to drive past them to find a non-msa meeting unless it was to compete in a msa/abkc national event.
