The vast majority of people have never had a problem. However just because the vast majority haven't had any thefts it doesn't mean that it doesn't happen. You would be wise to take suitable security measures.

If it was me I'd look into an alarm system inside the awning. On top of this I'd put a wheel lock on the trailer and chain the kart to the trailer. Better to be safe than sorry.
