Kart Chassis Design

I've always thought that most kart chassis were pretty much thrown together based on a standard design with a few tweeks and then testing a batch of different models and finding the fastest one that works. Maybe this is how it was done in the past, maybe not but this article I've just found is certainly an eye opener and very interesting read and shows just how critical it is to get everything perfect:
