Think I found my problem, the signs are pointing to the pink gaskets they started to breakdown/desolve in the carb took the bottom pink base gasket out it looked 'hairy' you could see the fibres of the gasket. I did try cleaning the carb with break cleaner didn't fix it ended up borrowing an ultrasonic clear off a friend which did.
The Diaphragm was still perfect condition and the kit had done 1 heat and a final previously.
