If Rotax at s1 level is really so bad then the pooled engine class should be oversubscribed next year leaving just the drivers in the one team competing in the elite series.
Why would anyone spend S1 money in a class where they know they have no chance? Maybe it is not really quite that unequal.
There was a similar situation with the old comer class where selected part engines went for bug money but they did not always win.
