Phillip Sharrock's post is entirely relevant to the topic under discussion, and adds useful information from someone in the know. He did not question the professionalism of the clubs, only the level of cover they have chosen to take. There are several reasons why racing with IKR is cheaper than with MSA, and insurance cover is very likely to be one of those where you pay less and you get less. It is up to individuals to decide if that is important to them or not. I cannot imagine how not knowing can be better. Once you are in the unfortunate situation of a justified claim, the cover in force at the time makes a world of difference to both the claimant, and the club itself.
