Probably the wrong place to have this discussion but I was watching the senior nationals final at Clay Pigeon from 1989 on YouTube yesterday. It looks like this was the time that bodywork started to appear but I was watching some without bodywork and they were just as bad. Took five attempts to start the race and then it was red flagged due to the driving standards.

Have things really changed that much? It seems to be there's always been contact and there always will be. Some days will be worse than others.

Pretty sure there's contact in cars as well...
