Chris is spot on, so re may of the views on here, but comparing one discipline to another will never be a direct alignment. Lets stop talking about doing a National series, the VAST bulk of owner drivers doing MSA and IKR have no interest in doing, "proper karting" is a term I hear a lot but does that not make us look elistist? IKR is growing and we should welcome that, there has been a steady decline in "proper karting license" holders but its not all doom and gloom, outside of that area karting is actually doing pretty well.

Getting those IKR across to MSA racing would be the goal of many, but if it does not look attractive enough or suit that driver's needs then that customers stays where he/she enjoys their racing, that should be applauded.

A World Formula MSA kart complete can be bought for around Ł1000 and raced at MSA series, it all costs as much as you want to spend, don't be sucked in by having to spend massive amounts, you are there to have FUN, build friendships, have some track battles and wrap up with a beer or two, whatever level?
