I've been wondering for some time about the small but significant deposits on our axles where the rear wheel hubs fit.
The spot deposits are localised and circular, consisting (it appears) of alloy from the hubs. We always use keys, so it's not caused by radial slippage.
I suspect some kind of chemical/electrolytic between the hubs and axle.
Anyone know the reason?
Dave.
