I stand to be corrected.... but can the Steward make a decision to exclude a driver without it being referred to him first by the CoC? I don't think the Steward is supposed to watch the racing so that he only deals with incidents on the basis of reports from officials and weighs that evidence on its merits, not from what he has actually seen himself? CoCs feel free to dive in...... may be wrong but I have heard that before. That said, to exclude a child for celebrating (if that is what it was for) is just too miserable for words. A warning about the potential dangers of celebrating like that is surely enough.... Hopefully they have appealed to the MSA to have that decision overturned. If it was a televised race it will make interesting viewing to see how they (the production company) deal with it...... It's definitely a talking point worth including in the programme.
