I'm seeking measurements across differing chassis of the distance between the rear of the lower bumper and the front edge of the chassis tubing.

A clause of the 2016 Homologation Regulations 8.2.1 Bodywork & Bumpers (protection) states "... maximum dynamic intrusion : forbidden zone of 40mm measured ahead of the front tube contour..."

The dynamic behaviour of the new fairing mounting kit 1/CA/20 01/01 ET is for it to slide backwards towards this forbidden zone, by around 30mm.

In other words if your bumper/chassis gap is less than (about) 70mm your setup will violate the crash test requirements and obviously be unsafe.

So besides a 10 place penalty you may also fail post-race scruiteneering.

Please post your make & model and gap.
