The MSA went out to an open tender for the UK British Championships and Vortex won the engine tender and Vega the tyres. See the MSA website or earlier in UKK News for their press releases on the subject. I expect they thought there would be more commercial support in the way of prizes and support for the class (works entries for the World Champs for instance) with one committed supplier.
