I like the idea of this billy-cable thing, I had a google and cant find anything on it, I have heard of it before, but never actually seen one apart from the widget they run on corporates?

Am I right in thinking this is just something you knock-up yourself out of accelerator cable and a few cable clamps?.....I'm thinking to put some M6 or M8 rod ends in the end of the foot-bar on each pedal, then run the cable back to around the bottom of the steering column area, in order that he can only accelerate or brake at one time, any pointers or tips appreciated in order that we do this in the safest possible way!
