Super 1 is the current organisation tasked with organising the official MSA British short circuit karting championships (OKJ, OKS, IAME Cadet) and ABkC National Championships for the other classes (Don't start me on why each class cannot have its own "British" championship title.... If it's a "national" championship, what "Nation" is it exactly?.... and in any case those that win in Super 1 in any class always call themselves "British Champion" anyway....).

John Hoyle is the promoter/organiser of the Super 1 Championship, and Super 1 pays a significant fee for the MSA British Championship title in those designated classes. However, as an MSA event, like any club meeting, once the meeting starts, he hands the control of the meeting over to the MSA officials responsible for ensuring fair play (don't.... do not....) in that the rules are adhered to on and off track, pre, during and post race.

Suggesting therefore in any way that "Super 1" should hold its head in shame shows a distinct lack of knowledge and understanding about who is responsible for what in MSA karting. John Hoyle and "Super 1" have no say in decision making once the meeting starts. What happens in an MSA court hearing is firmly at their door, and in this case you haven't even waited for the case to be heard, which is simply staggering. You of course now have more options than ever if MSA karting is not for you. IKR club events, Birel Art and Club 100 to name but a few.

I of course film the Super 1 events so have an affiliation. As such I recognise the efforts John and his family puts in, and the frustrations at some decisions. If there is one person that hates people trying to win races in the office, it's John. Just a thought.... whilst John cannot ban anyone as a driver who tries to bring a spurious protest or appeal (they are MSA licence holders and he cannot do that)...... He could ban a team who he feels is trying to influence dads into making spurious protests and appeals..... because teams have no MSA licence and as such can only attend the event if they are invited or allowed by him to do so. Just a thought to ponder..... One organisation banned a team from their championship this year for running what they judged as the organiser and supplier to be illegal equipment after the driver appeal was upheld by the MSA.... The championship management responded by banning the team from attending their events. Interesting conclusion. Just a thought......
