I believe fixing weights to the driver is seriously frowned upon, I certainly wouldnt do it, especially if there is an accident, the impact-G will magnify any weight drastically.....its a bit like the cadet helmet weight rule, using a heavier helmet can cause more of a whiplash in a high-G impact.
