Have been talking about it for years and never actually got round to it... Finally, Jake Sanson and I are launching a new online Karting News magazine, with the first issue due for release on April 1st. We have a meeting Tuesday to discuss the logistics, regular features, layout style etc.

This is going to require a significant investment in time and effort, with some initial set up costs, and the success will largely be down to articles from regular columnists about karting topics & technical advice, contributors sending in national and club racing reports, club news, driver info, profiles and pics, photographs, and advertisers with karting related items to promote. The magazine will be edited into a 'flipbook' style so it can be viewed via desktop, laptop or tablet. The first three issues will be free, and thereafter we are looking at a subscription model around £25 for the year, the plan by this time to produce a magazine on the 1st of every month.

We would like to invite clubs and all national championships to have someone send in race reports (250-500 words or so) after every meeting. We also want information from each club that will be included in each issue about their regular race meeting dates, both IKR and MSUK, inc. website and contact details.

We would like to include a specialist columnist with a significant amount of experience in kart set up to send in regular topics with specific advice for newbies (tyre pressures in various conditions, both slicks and wets, adding/removing grip to front and rear, steering geometry etc. etc.)
Anything you think has some information value to the karting community, please send it in. Can be a short 50 word news item about a special event being held at your club, to a 500 word essay for our "Readers' Views" Page.

Can't guarantee to include everything, but as an online magazine, we are not restricted to a specific maximum of printed pages. You can send anything in as a word document, with some pictures. Please ensure you do not send pictures for which you do not own the copyright. You can ask the copyright owner's permission for us to use the images you send in, for which you should expect them to charge a small fee. Photographer's spend a lot of time in the wind, rain and cold getting the images for you, so please respect their copyright. If you have taken images yourself, clearly these are fine to send in.
