Its also possible there's something broken/cracked inside in the carb ? It would do no harm to buy another carb or two. They go for almost nothing on eBay. You could also consider buying a new one. Its always handy to have one or two spare ones as its so easy to swap them at the track and at least you get value for the GBP45 you pay in testing charges etc...
