Great weekend good grids, shame the idiots came out to play. The amount of people that actually complained officially about the brothers grim was amazing. What was even more amazing though was that nothing, as far as I'm aware, was done. Four drivers went into the clerks office together at one stage to complain.
Before the 2nd heat was re-started at least four drivers were contemplating packing up and going home in protest.
Dean, you're correct one was in trouble at GYG and the other, if I remember right was sent home before the final at a meeting last year at Hooton.
I think it depends on who is clerking on the day, the woman CoC is much firmer, and tolerates a lot less of this s*&t than the two in charge this weekend. As for the first corner I don't think it's any worse than any other first corner I've seen, it's a hazard of having large grids, what does need changing, and Bob has said that it is going to be addressed, is the start system. 2 little red lights on a post 7 feet up when the sun is low is very difficult to see especially when your trying to concentrate on keeping your kart in the right place at the right pace. The good old flag worked better in the end. Having said all this I wouldn't like to detract from the good work that Bob and co have done in getting this venue to where it is now in such a short period of time and with some really good grids and plenty of novices coming through (6 in TKM extreme this weekend).
