Times have moved forward from the Days that the ABkC, the NKRA and the NKF etc where separate organisations and as the MSA's Regional Committee the NKRA have a seat on the ABkC Steering Group, not taking it up means they miss out on being part of the decision making process, you or they can hardly criticise the ABkC if you can't be bothered to turn up to meetings!

There was a point in history where the 3 organisations ran separate and there was a reg in the ABkC Green Book aimed at cutting down the number of classes in karting and stating that ABkC Clubs should only run ABkC classes! I admit to being voacal on the subject at the time because I believe we had too many classes and classes where springing up everywhere not for the good of the sport but purely for profit, but times moved on and the ABkC as the Regional Committee had to recognise the other classes for the other Organisations therefore by default they became ABkC recognised classes!

The ABkC is democracy and makes decisions on the information it has, sometimes delaying decisions to obtain the right information, but you can't be part of that democracy nor realise how constructive and fair that democracy id if you can't be bothered to show up!
