How about this then Steve.
Get the MSA to reduce (or waive) the permit fees charged to clubs, that way the clubs can pass the costs savings onto the racer across the board so all classes benefit from it.

This need not be a permanent reduction, say for a period of 6 or 12 months.

I know there is insurance included in the permit fees but got to be worth looking at hasn't it?
