I remember a few years ago a trader got hold of some maxxis that had yellow writing instead of the green with TKM stamp, appeared to be the same shape, style and compound. Sent round the club champion for the last few years. Difference in lap times - 0.1-0.2 seconds per lap on average, seem to last as well as the current tyres

oh and the cost - Ł40-Ł45 for the set (this was in 1998/1999) if memory is correct the tkm slick were about Ł96/98 for the set
