Tony Viper brakes use DOT 5.1 only. Mixing with DOT 5 causes all sorts of problems as it does not mix!! I am uncertain about DOT 4. Your brakes need bleeding and as stated do not overfill the resevoir. The Viper brakes benifit from regular flushing and bleeding. If done they have been reliable. The brake is 'self adjusting' and there should be a visible but not large gap between pad and disc. You do not use spacers as in older style Tony kart systems (Mitox).
