Cracking of the shoes.

Welding to the cover.

Slower.

3 tiny screws holding the shoes assembly to the back plate with a thread depth of a few mm.

Your old sprocket tool is now redundant.

At least there's no holes in the cover to allow the chain lube to contaminate the shoes.

Time will tell, but I'd keep one of the old type in your box just in case the new one's a lemon.

At least those bloody pins have gone and the Rowntrees Aero clutch shoes.

It only took over ten years, chuffing heck.
