I always use to set my idle between 4000 and 5000 rpm. Had no problems with it trying to move forward at this idle setting, especially when your sitting in it. However on the stand you would have to apply the brake to prevent the rear wheels turning. If it's trying to drive off it sounds like it's set to high. Once set up and maintained these clutches are very very reliable. Hope this helps.
