John at first we believed lube from the chain was being thrown into the very small gap surrounding the drum (I use Texaco semi synthetic which gives a spider web type of pattern when applied and rotated), it wasn't until today when we removed the clutch drum did we realise from the gold colouring of the copper slip given to me and used in the final yesterday that it was definately the grease used on the central bearing which was causing the "wet" clutch symptom....as ive said, I'll bet no-one until yesterday has had their clutch drums checked AFTER the race (on the new clutches) but Paul being Paul was very much up to speed.....so now are we but at some cost :-(
