After investigating Hootsman suggestion of keeping the centre line of the crankshaft relatively inline with the centre line of the side pod bracket. With 12/80 sprockets and a 106t chain the centre line of our crank is at least an inch to the rear of the side pod centre line.
As we carry no weight on the kart, my lads slightly over the wieght limit, we will have to try alternatives to cure the slight lack of rear end grip.
Does anyone know if the OTK engine mount clears the side pod brackets or do you think I'm trying to move the engine too far to the rear?
