You shouldn't be able to bump start it as it has a centrifugal clutch. Therefore if you are able to bump start it, you're clutch has broken and the shoes are stuck open against the drum. That would also explain why the motor is stalling when you spin. Can you check to see whether your clutch drum is free of the clutch shoes by spinning the rear axle of the kart by hand on a stand.
