You keep the engine revs in the power band and it can give you a better exit out of corners by preventing the 'bog'.

It is harder to get enough grease in the new type clutch because there are less places to 'hide' it.

No advantage with the new type? Hmmmm.

The old type clutch is much easier to do it to.
