I went to the Super One round at Whilton of Rotax Max a couple of weekends ago and was staggered, amazed and gobsmacked at the price of an engine which would get you in the top ten (or twenty).
It doesnt stop there though - who knows whether one of those supposedly "super" engines dont find there way down into club level - OF COURSE THEY DO!
What's to be done about it - to make it a more level playing field for the "club" racer.
I have an idea - what about Rotax Max restricted (as opposed to say Rotax Super)- no tuning - carb restrictor - harder tyres (to last longer).
Didn't TKM do it ?
It's just a thought !
