The pattern of the scroll on the new style shoe block is wrong.

I can understand why they have done what they have, and it will work on a moped, but not in a race engine.

It's nearly right, but 'nearly' isn't good enough.

The drum and backplate appear to be good quality and at least they have got rid of the ridiculous holes around the taper and moved the removal points outwards.

If they could re-profile the slot and use Electrical Discharge Machining (ECD) to cut the 'monobloc', then the finish would not lead to stress points being set up along the appaling quality of cut they are using now.

I had one of each of the new shoe blocks and both were very badly manufactured.
