if the 09 barrels level the playing field a wee bit then thats great! i started with my son at christmas in minimax and i bought an 08 (shock horor) the engine is a dog as we now know ( it does not rev up as freely as older engines-fact!!) i am quite grateful for the engine rip-off as it has forced me to get jiggy with the the chassis and driver to gain time. if the 09 is better and cuts the advantage down to a couple of tenths between good and bad ones, well, thats a much better situation than before and a damn site cheaper. we havnt had the engine touched yet so await the outcome of all this fiasco with baited breath!! first rebuild plus 09 barrel= descent performance sounds good to me!!!!
