Oh yes it is - throughout motorsport for generations, it has been common knowledge that the best drivers show up in the wet. Countless corners at various tracks that at the moment in TKM are not quite flat and so take great skill, allowing a good driver to pull out a few cm advantage, would become flat for everybody with softer tyres so taking away part of the good drivers advantage.
