I think I said in another thread that I thought Tal-ko are now reacting a little too late and haven't had a commercial eye on the competition and how they promote TKM. maybe a touch of complacency and now realising they are getting left behind . For example -When we phoned Tal-ko at the beginning of the year to order a new junior engine they wanted to charge me for delivery but if I ordered by e-mail i could have free delivery - guess what - ended phone call and they had e-mail order in the next 5 minutes with all the same detail i had just given them on the phone - daft or what ??. I hardly think given what people are saying i would be causing a hold up on their phone liness LOL
I think a lot of commercial karting businesses be they maufacturers/ retalers or parts suppliers are all mostly rubbish at customer care and not that professional or commercial enough at times . Tal-ko have been jogging but will now have to sprint to keep up but Clubs/ Championships and present TKM drivers/ supporters do have to find ways to promote the class - is Club 100 still going ? Haven't heard much about it recently ? do talko help promote it ? I am sure we could give cadets who are trying to decide what to do next some test drives at GYG or Hooton on spare equipment - only trouble is if you are a parent of a cadet in this positon at the moment wouldn't you be worried you were about to buy a Betamax instead of a VHS if you went to TKM . betamax only failed becuse not enough money was thrown at it's promotion by the manufacturers- there wasn't anything wrong with the technology at the time .
