They do run for a long time and they rarely go bang, not like the good old days. They are disappointing to drive though compared to the aircooled 100s.
You could get an historic kart and join the historic kart club. Cheap thrills aplenty.
Whilst I'm reminiscing, karts now are too wide and way too heavy.
