I'm with Aquila here, my 2005 sidewinder has done dozens of meetings without any chassis problems, whereas I know of numerous JKH's that have cracked in front of the seat.
So far as the other points raised, well.....I would say that just about all motorsport is a hobby - the problems are caused in our sport by those that think its something more than that! Good riddance to them! It will inevitably take a while for the changes to settle down and have an effect, but clearly it was going down the pan as it was, so they had to try something. Those of us who are hooked on a 2 stroke screaming away at 17000rpm under our right elbow will remain faithfull......its all we have left!
