Dont you have to use the axle designed for chassis, so surely you would only be able to use whatever size axle came on the chassis, i know this is the case for stub axles and steering columns.

Plus.....there cant be much in it, as when it rains you dont see the kf boys cracking out there 30mm axles :-D
