Dont push your luck on the hours!I had a motor totally shafted earlier this year, it looks like it was a small end failure that caused the piston to seize that in turn snapped the con rod which then broke the cases and wrecked the cylinder not to mention slicing the read block in half!!! my engine had done just 15 hours from new.So in the long run would have been far cheaper to have had a top end rebuild between 8/10 hours.
If you need a good engine builder i cant recommend Gary at gmf highly enough. Since my engine trouble earlier this year i went too speak to Gary and he has been looking after me ever since, genuine honest bloke who does a really good job.
