I think the chassis protector issue is more complicated than some would have it.
I get the argument about other bits coming off, but anything below the bottom of the chassis is sure to be damaged much more quickly.
It seems obvious that certain types of protector are not appropriate for this purpose, but banning all possible solutions seems to be OTT.
As for testing the ZIP nose cone. I set my 9 year old the mission of testing it with his HOT Wheels set, the results are in and it's catagoric. Fire a car at a brick shapes and it always stops on its's wheels, fire it at a wedge shape, at almost any angle and it takes off and or flips over. How hard was that to do? It's not rocket science?
