The engine mounts we use are flush to the bottom of the frame and so wont catch on kerbs whatever and fly off.
Not done for the safety aspect but to ensure we dont lose one in a race and risk a DNF.

If engine mounts were an issue these could be used safetly without undue risk of flying off.

There is always a way to engineer in safety , just needs time and money thrown at it. The powers that be think its easier to ban things then problem goes away "simple" chk
