I apologise if I am wide of the mark with the carburation on KF3 but please read the following.
Being of the old school of karting I grew up with motors that had carbs (Tillotson) that could be ajusted on the move, indeed it was an essential skill to master that has now been largely lost if you wished to be competetive.
The major problem I see with the KF3 Clubman idea that I can forsee is the very fact that 'the ajust on the move' skill has now been lost and that in order to be at the front you will have to redevelop the skill which is certainly going to be adding considerably to engine rebuild costs by overstepping the mark leading to the inevitable seizure. your 20 hours could then become 20 mins!
I know the modern engines and oils are less fragile than our old 100's but the Clubman is still likely to require the use of 2 or maybe 3 engines for a weekend to stay competetive with those who push the limits to win and accept the consequences.
Suddenly a competetive full club season on a single Rotax engine looks more cost effective.
