normaly the positive will be the center, it may well have a little picture of it on the charger case, if you put a multimeter on the wires it will indicate either + or minus voltage, when you have your multimeter positive prob on the positve wire it will just show the voltage when you reverse the probes it will show minus the same voltage, mine was broken on the short female plug connected to the loom, if you measure at the jack plug on the loom you should get the same as the battery voltage, if you measure at the charger you should see the charger output voltage
