It is true that extreming a BT can involve nothing more than boring the barrel, machining the head, and fitting the new piston assembly. You can probably get it all done for less than Ł150. BUT, when doing this, a decision has to be made with respect to the barrel gaskets/barrel height/port timings. Extreming an engine cannot be divorced from the BT tuning process. If you want the best performance from your engine, get it done by somebody who knows what they are doing, and be prepared to pay a fair price for that knowledge!
